Vikings

Last week I had my 3 kids then 2 of Ella's kids and 3 of my friend Nina's kids for a few days. It made for a crazy time 2 six year olds 4 three year old and 2 two year olds. On morning all the boys where fighting over Donovan's Viking sword, shield, and ax. So after a half hour of all 6 boys fighting over them we made Shields and axes for every body. They loved it they colored there shield and ax and then cut holes for hands ( I did that part) then they went to town fighting each other. This kept them happy for hours.

Happy St. Patricks Day

Happy St. Patricks Day.
Because Ella works Monday nights we do Family Home Evening on Thursday so this last week we did Paticks Day as my kids call it for FHE. There was a treasure hunt and at the end there was every thing need for a leprechaun trap the kids had fun making the traps to be set that night. The boys mostly just used pipe cleaner for swords and the girls made the traps green and to try and help catch the eye of a leprechaun.

Sadly no leorechaun where caught but he did leave behind a lot of money on his way out. The kids thought that way a good sign that he had been there and are already talking about how they should make a better trap next year to make sure they get one

We also had every thing Patricks day theme to eat that day But I forgot to take pic Green oat meal for breakfast, 3 leaf clovers shaped PB&J for lunch and green gold fish then for dinner we did taco not all green but all green and gold veggies and green ground beef and gold taco shells. I know not very Irish but it what I know all 7 kids will eat so. And Last green 3 leaf clover cookies for a treat.

my kids sat there saying Money money money like Mr crabs of spongebob. Funny but I'm thinking spongebob will be taking a leave of absents from our house for a while. Or so I planed until Daddy came home and he like the show as much as the kids oh well.

The trap is set!!!

DONE!

So on a not raining day I tryed the swing set again and with all to much help again but the weather behaving, I got it all up and put together. The kids love it and where playing on it be for I was even done putting it all together. By the way this makes it so much harder to set up that way.
I got Corey this new BBQ for a surprise and got it all set up as well be for he came home it was so much easier the the swing set because there was not on playing on it while I built it. Its really nice and I can't wait till the weather is nice enough for BBQing!

Happy Birthday Kayla!

Thea just had to get Kayla dress up stuff for her birthday.

Cake and Ice Cream

Logan trying not to sleep while eating his cake and ice cream

Washington Weather

So I got my kids a swing set with some of our tax return money. It took a week to get here then has sat in my garage for a few weeks now, the kids ask daily when they can play on it and when I can put it up. So me being be I figure I can do it with out help even though the box and instructions say 2 people needed. So the sun was out and had been most the morning. So I tell the kids we're going to put up the swing set. YAY!!!! They very helpfully moved all the parts from the garage to the back yard and emptied all the tools out of my tool box and opened all the bags with the hard ware in them. I know all of this was coming when I said we could build it today and they could help it's just how the kids and I build things taking hours longer because I have to track down the tool from the other room and find nuts and bolts that Thea used as things to cook for her baby's. I really don't mind any of this but when its sunny and then with in 10 mins of starting to put things together it starts not raining but hailing I am not a happy mommy. But I worked through it for half an hour until I cant feel my hands so I give up and come in and change into some nice warm sweats. Then this dumb Washington weather starts being sunny again. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. So now do I give it up for the day or go back out and try some more? I know if I go back out there it will start snowing or something soon after I get started. That's what I get for spring in Washington! OK I'm done being mad now, back to work with a warmer coat!

Called to Serve

Jared just received his mission call to serve the Lord for two years. I am so proud of him! All thou I can't believe he is old enough to go. He will be serving in the Denver South Mission. Where My Dad grew up and his parents and bothers still live. Jared reports to the MTC (missionary training center) on April 13. For those of you who don't know his mission is for our church, he will be teaching and inducing people to our church. It is so amazing that he is so willing and happy to give up two years of his life to give to the Lord. It takes an amazing young man to give him self up to the lord for this time. I know he will love and enjoy his time there and we will miss him very much. But what a great example for my kids to look up to and learn from. It's coming up so fast. I tryed to upload a video of Jared reading his call but it won't up load for some reason. It was so fun to be able to be there when he got his call. again I am so so proud of him!!! I'll try to get some pic up soon.
